MANAGING A POULTRY BUSINESS FOR PROFIT
This course is aimed at people who want to start their own broiler or layer

The course will be run as a one-week workshop with group discussions, short
written tasks, calculations and interactive spreadsheets. All examples and case
studies are specific to poultry and each delegate will be encouraged to apply
the principles to his or her own unique circumstances. The aim is to stimulate
the delegate to plan a strategy for his or her own business, giving a clear picture
of how to proceed.
The delegate will be taught how to do simple production forecasts and predicted
cash flows using Excel spreadsheets. These templates may be taken home for future
use.
(Please note that training on the day-to-day management of broiler and layer
flocks is done in a separate Poultry Production Short Course that runs every month.)
