The Institute
is managed strictly in accordance with its Section 21 status
(Association not for gain) and is audited annually by approved
external auditors.
It receives funding from three main sources:
Donor agencies that have supported the KZNPI to date include
the Independent Development Trust, the Kagiso Trust, the
Liberty Life Foundation, Gencor Development Trust, the iNdlovu
Regional Council, the WK Kellogg Foundation, the Land Bank,
the National Development Agency and the Swiss-SA Co-operation
Initiative.
Donors are able to receive a Section 18A Tax Certificate
for donations routed through the Natal University Development
Foundation.
