The KwaZulu-Natal Poultry Institute is situated in the Bisley Valley Nature Reserve some eight kilometers from the Pietermaritzburg city centre.
Founded in 1992, the Institute is a Non Profit Company originally established to meet the needs of the local poultry industry in diagnostics, disease management, communication and training. It emerged that the Institute’s real strength lay in training and today this is the core business of the Institute’s Poultry Management Training Centre which offers training and mentoring in all aspects of poultry production and management.
